Dad-
Tomorrow is your 92nd birthday. Much has happened for me and our family over the past two years. Elizabeth is completing her Master's degree in England, Maria has only 6 months left of medical school, Jackie is working at Wells Fargo again this summer, and Mom is doing great. We lost Marge in April, although you know that already....my business continues to grow and we continue to serve the most vulnerable children who much like you growing up have to rely on food stamps. I write this as I listen to Frank Sinatra sing "I Did It My Way." I now understand why you liked this song so much. It was you who taught me to do it 'My Way." I miss you Dad!!!! However, I am aware that your I love, wisdom, and compassion are with me everywhere.

I never met Mr. Franklin but it has been my pleasure to enjoy daughter Lesleigh's friendship for many years. Her sensitivity, generosity, openness and loyalty are a tribute to his legacy and evidence of his love and dedication to his family. A long life well lived!

Dad-
There are not enough words to say all that I want to say. Thank you for the wisdom, knowledge and everlasting belief you had in me. Your courage taught me to overcome fear, and know everything is possible. I miss you every day, and know that you are still walking with me.

Uncle Chuck and Aunt Donna along with Judy, Jay and the girls would join us at Christmas dinner the past few years. Uncle Chuck would ask for a scotch to start the evening and we would sit at the dinner table after dinner and enjoy great conversation. We will miss him tremondously! We love you! Patty Thuve
