Retired from Carefirst 2015

After 38 years, Chuck retired from a fulfilling career with Carefirst, Blue Cross Blue Shield. There were countless wonderful people that crossed his path during his time there and he looked back fondly on his tenure with the company.

Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from University of Maryland College Park in 1976. This was the place where he met his former wife, Joni Berman, along with life long friend Paul Evans. Chuck began his career path into the world of sports during college as a member of the grounds crew for the Baltimore Orioles.

Began Career in Sports Broadcasting

Chuck's true passion in life was sports. He eased his way into a career of stats and sports broadcasting during college with an early gig as a grounds keeper for the Baltimore Orioles. This opportunity led to another and another until he was sitting alongside some of the greats like Verne Lundquist, Bill Raftery, Johnny Holiday, Charles Barkley, and more as a premier Statistician.
