31 years ago there were 5 young men that would meet at my home every Friday night to play cards.

Those young men were really smart and decent young men. Chris Preston, Wayne M, Joseph C, Adrian L, Stephen F...

I would go to sleep in my room and they would play until they left..I hold those memories close to my heart.

I remember Chris jokingly saying how he had to make sure my Wayne was good enough for me. 

3 of them were at my wedding and one was in my bridal party. Named one of my son after one. Both my sons share alma mater with Adrian and Stephen. I can say they are like brothers to me and Chris was a really great big brother. Even though I don't speak to all of them as often I find myself defending especially Stephen F and reminding people that he's so bright you have to understand that 'Real Bright' can be excused as we do make excuse for those not so bright

Chris is that person I introduced other people to because he was such a supportive and encouraging person. One of those person wrote 'Chris was my mentor'...I know this. 

My brother is gone and I'm so grateful to God that I met him and laughed with him and that those 5 guys adopted me. 

My brother Chris was such a jovial witty chap he would want us to play on...
