Cicely, daughter to Fred and Dorothy King and sister to Rosalie Courter & Patricia Bernofsky, was born and raised on Long Island, New York. In 1953 she married Jim Wright and moved to Nevada where daughter Kerin was born.

For many years Jim and Cicely had a small combo at the Hawthorne Club where he played saxophone and she sang. Music remained a very important part of her life, sometimes singing and playing the piano, other times listening to her favorite operas and musicals.

In 1964 Cicely and her daughter moved to California where she met her husband Delbert Clark. They were married in 1970 and in 1982 he passed away. Working through retirement she chose to be home with her grandchildren where she instilled in them her love of manners, gardening, and classical music.

In 2003 she moved to Stevenson House in Palo Alto where she made many friends and was very active in the community there. She could sometimes be seen walking her cat Tiger on a leash around the neighborhood or tending to the many plants she kept on her patio or others in the complex.

She was a remarkable woman who left an impact on all who knew her. She will be missed dearly.
