Clarence Wilbert Godwin, 92, a longtime resident of Butner passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at his home.

He was the son of the late Herman Lane and Florence Deaton Godwin. Clarence was a loyal member of First Baptist Church Butner and owner of Godwin Mobile Home Park.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. September 2, 2017 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Pastor Charlie Bryan. Burial will be in Creedmoor Cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter, Pamela Jean Godwin of Butner, a grandson, Dillon Herron of Butner and a sister, Hazel Andrews of Bahama.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to www.samartanspurse.org or www.redcross.org.
