Concetta Sica entered into eternal rest on Aug. 9, 2017 in Sanford, Florida. Connie was born on Oct. 2, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to Nunzio and Maria Pellizzi. Her Italian immigrant parents taught her the true meaning of family and she later imparted their values to her own family. She was united in marriage to Savino "Sam" Sica, a NYC policeman, on April 24, 1948. They were completely devoted to each other for 64 years, weathering all life's highs and lows, hand-in hand. Connie cherished the years raising her family and taking pride in creating a beautiful home filled with so much love and laughter. Her great pleasure was entertaining family and friends in a warm, welcoming enviornment and serving her phenomenal Italian meals. Connie and her beloved Sam, relocated to Florida in 1996. The grandchildren were there and Connie relished her role as "Nanny", making every visit a grand adventure while imparting her pearls of wisdom to the next generation. More recently, despite the cruelest of health challenges, she faced all with courage, grace and remained a beacon of the greatest love for her family. She held our hands for a little while, our hearts forever.
She is predeceased by her husband, Sam, and her son, Gregory. Mourning her loss are her daughters, Valerie, Carla(Carlo), daughter-in-law, Gina, adored grandchildren, Dana(Jay), Andrea(Greg), Nicole(Ryan), Carissa(Adam), and Arianna, precious great-grandchildren, Mariah, Ava, Capri, Ryder, Carson, Gregory, and James.
Proverbs 31:28-29
Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all."
