In Loving Memory of Corrogan Robwood Vaughn: A Special Tribute Honoring An Unforgettable Man

August 15, 2018

Corrogan R. Vaughn ( Republican Candidate Maryland's 7th Congressional District ) and I became friends in November of 2016. We communicated daily (despite residing in different states). He was a humble man whose accomplishments and resilience were impeccable. As a continual candidate, Corrogan remained high-spirited; always choosing to take the high road while staying focused on his pursuit of becoming a  future congressman. "I always look forward and I never look back." He told me.

Corrogan R. Vaughn was a dedicated servant who often placed the needs of others in front of his own. He was a twenty-seven year brain tumor survivor who lived a full life, treated others with kindness/respect while diligently refining his goals/objectives on political issues. His primary goal was ensuring to reach out to all Marylanders (regardless of parties). Corrogan took special interests in social services and healthcare accessibility and affordability. This was visibly evident to me as I observed several of his previous Republican Candidacy Debates. He was tenacious and determined. He smiled and laughed when I shared this with him.

His unique character and persistence (despite setbacks) were inspiring to many. He often said "Audra, you give me inspiration."  Little did he know that throughout our friendship, he was the one who inspired me. I created "In Loving Memory of Corrogan Robwood Vaughn" video to honor and celebrate the life of a man who had a positive influence on the lives of many while personally transforming the lives of others. Corrogan valued the gift of friendship and therefore, he will always be unforgettable.
