Always my Papaw, forever loved.

Papaw was an amazing grandfather to us. So many of my favorite memories have him in them. So many of things I know, he taught me. So much of the person I am today is because of him. But the Lord needed him back. I hope he is in heaven surrounded by his family that went to live with the Lord before him. I hope he looks in on us from Heaven and is proud of the family he left behind.

"Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace."

I hope you are at peace Papaw. I love you more my words can ever express and will hold you in my heart until we meet again.

Papaw,
I will think of you always when eating apples, playing with the kids, growing my garden, buying oatmeal cookies, cracking pecans, visiting Louisiana, and singing southern hymns.
You are loved and missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Cloud a few years ago. The conversations we had during my occasional visits to his home have never been forgotten. Each time we talked he would share a piece of history and wisdom. It was an honor to know him and I pray for peace and comfort for those who remain to celebrate his life.
