I had the opportunity to learn about "Uncle" through his devoted niece Annette Shack. The two shared a special relationship of love and respect. I admired " Uncle's" vigor towards life, research, learning and self advocacy in health and home related decisions. Without ever meeting him, brother Foster's humor and feistiness will definitely live on through his niece Annette. May God Bless U

I met Mr. Foster many years ago as we were working beneath his neighbor’s house (Miss Hall). Someone had stolen her copper wiring and water pipes. Mr. Foster believed in helping people, which has eternal value. That led to many more meetings, long discussions and debates over the years. I enjoyed the time I got to spend with him. He will be missed.

I learned much about Uncle Curtis from Annette Shack as she would share her yearly summer visits with her uncle with us on her return to Hartford. He lived a long and good life and left many memories to share. Thanks for sharing him with all of us - Thirman L. Milner, Former Mayor, Hartford, Connecticut.

From a long line of Educators, Brother continued the trend. There was nothing that he did not know from beginning to end. I will miss all the stories that he once shared, for I am the wiser for it. Knowing that he cared. Cared enough to take the time out of his busy day always to share a smile or two and a hold lot to say. So Thanks Brother for fun and a job well-done.  Missing You
