Curtis Wayne Hutson, 71, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away March 14, 2017 at Brantwood Nursing Center in Oxford.

A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late James Cephas and Rosa Pearl Hutson. Wayne was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church and retired from Harriett and Henderson Yarns with twenty-five years of service and from Morton & Sherman Implement Company with eighteen years of service.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Grassy Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Cameron Currin. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving are his children, Keith Hutson (Melanie) and their children, Kayla, Zoie and Zack; Steve Hutson (Lori) and their children, Ryan, MacKenzie and Hallie; his sister, Mary Leigh Boyd and his brother, Taylor Hutson (Betty Jean) and a special friend, Carolyn Brewer.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening March 15, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home of Carolyn Brewer.
