Our school motto was ‘ESTO PERPETUA’ meaning “let it be perpetual”. Dalie lived up to this motto - she touched so many lives in the most beautiful way, and this will be everlasting!

Dale, you’ll always be in our hearts and thoughts and we’ll always laugh out loud at the shenanigans you brought to every situation.  One of a kind, and the world was a better place because of it.  We'll miss you our friend.

I met Dalie when I was 18 my first meeting with her made me laugh. I loved her sense of humour and love for life. I have so many memories of our relationship and time together. One of my favourites was my 19th birthday. After clubbing at the Rivera driving in her little mini singing Basia's "Promises" loudly in the car (we have had something to drink beforehand) we had an idea, swimming..We climbed the fence at the Carmel College pool. Dalie jumped in with very little clothing in fact no clothing. She ended up running across the floodlight hockey field with no clothes covered only by a banana leaf. Some prankster had stolen her clothes and run off with them across the field. All she had was a grove of banana trees to work with. It was the best of times and we laughed so hard we were crying. So many memories of laughing, veggie dips, sunning the girls on the beach and lots of dancing and living. I am so privileged to have known you Miss Woods (another long story I will write one day), you made life brighter for all of us and any time spent with you was a treasure. I loved you then and I will always love you until we meet again.
