On June 19, 2012, I sent a version of the following e-mail to Dale in response to e-mail he had sent; there was “something” in his words that prompted me to compose a “good-bye” letter.

I met Dale years ago while working as a receptionist for a distributor; he worked for the dealer.

He marked my days with wisdom, laughter, encouragement, information, and “miracles.”

Sometimes he was an ear of, blah, blah, blah, but even those times were “special” because of the character of this man.

A true artist; he captured not only the moment through lens, but the emotion; a “Leonardo da Vinci” of the lens if you will.

One day I was given the opportunity to meet the man behind the voice, and his beautiful wife; that was a special day.

Thank you for that by the way, because I "mattered."

Even now, being laid-off, I can say I get paid, not with money, but with a priceless commodity of your friendship.

Sadness fills my heart, tears swell my eyes, and the boulder in my throat makes it hard to swallow, but there is “peace” in knowing that Dale is without pain and suffering, and in the Arms of God.

Bless you Connie and your beautiful family; I am so sorry for your loss.
