My name is Dennis Lawler. I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Dalmy.
I lived with the Tenza family on West Point Street in Quezon City when I was in the U.S. Peace Corps, July 1968 to August, 1969. All the family was very good with me, and Dalmy was my very good friend, May he rest in peace.
I remember clearly the good times and wonderful conversations that I had with Dalmy, Dalmy's dad, with Mrs. Tenza, and with Junior, Boy, Felipe, Gloria and Maquita. It was a great time!
Peace to all!

Dearest Daddy Dalmy,
You may not have kids of your own, but you are so beloved by all your nieces, nephews and grandchildren for all the love and care you've provided to us all. You may not have reached your career goals nor be financially successful....but you've inspired us to be great artists, musicians, architects, designers and practical minimalists by showing us the humble and simple way of living. You've succeeded far more than any philanthropist could ever have....you've unselfishly given so much of yourself, spending quality time with us sitting outside your 'bachelor pad' at West Point under the coconut trees, talking about life, waiting for dusk, listening to the sound of crickets...just precious memories we'll never forget. I thank the good Lord above for giving us such a wonderful uncle in you. Sad as i may be, i am so comforted in the knowledge that Lolo, Lola and Uncle Phil have come to accompany you to be with them in Heaven and into God's loving arms. You are no longer in pain, and that's the most important thing. You've transitioned into the perfect spiritual angel you were always meant to be. I'm so happy to have been given the opportunity to thank you, for Kianna to have gotten to know you and spend the same quality time with you....Like i told you before, Heaven is one beautiful place that awaits you....Go fly off to "Bimbombey" now, your heavenly home :) hug everyone there for us and enjoy all the beautiful music Heaven has to offer....We'll see each other again. For now, bask in all the love and light. Thankyou, Love you <3 <3 <3

Dear Daddy Dalme, I miss you, but I know your suffering is done. I feel like there's a void somewhere, now that you're gone. I wish I could have thanked you for everything you have inspired within me. I pray that you rest happily and in peace. Love, annibung.

To our dear “Daddy Dalmy”,

We couldn’t thank you enough for sharing your love and care for each one of us, especially your nieces and nephews. Still very clear in my mind when I had my firstborn - the first baby in the family, how excited you were to welcome her from the hospital. From then on, every time you hear her cry, you would run upstairs and return only when she’s fast asleep on top of the pillow where you would cradle her to sleep. You did the same with the rest of the babies in the family. You would entertain them with the country songs of Jimmy Rodgers and John Denver, to name some. Such a quiet, simple, humble, God-loving man. I’m so lucky to have seen you again lately when we visited 2 months ago. Too sad, you didn’t even see and enjoy the stuff we sent you. You will be with us forever. WE WILL MISS YOU.

From your first sister-in-law,

Cora
