when you gave us a lesson about stress and showed the effects of cyber bullying there was a man named gary trashing you 24/7. I wonder how he feels now

coach D$ was one of the most inspirational people that you can ever meet. the one thing that he loved more than sk8ing is his family. and he still loves them and is watching over them. when you would ask he would tell the most wonderful stories about them. this can only make them stronger I miss him so much. <3

You are the most inspirational person i've ever met.You've done so many things that benefited everybody around you. You always knew how to brighten up anybody's day and put a smile on their face. You were the most determined, generous, dedicated, kind-hearted person I've ever met! I could go on and on but ive reached my max characters

As I was saying, you are going to be remembered forever. For all the spontaneous things you've done for the 35 years that you've been on this Earth. Your life was cut short by this tragic accident, but your a legend now and you will live in everybody's hearts. You were loved and looked upon as a mentor/ hero by many people. Our children attended SSAS (now 18 and 20) and Coach Dan was a great inspiration and role model for them. We are praying for his wife, kiddos, parents and siblings. We hope they know that he lives on in our children. He helped create the great human beings they are now. Thank you Dan for all you've done. We will miss you.

I wish Coach Dan's family and friends the strength & peace needed to survive a tragedy like this. Knowing how much MY child loved him, I can only imagine the grief they must be feeling. I hope they take comfort in knowing how many lives he touched, and that his legacy is sure to live on...... I know my son will carry a love for him till the end of days......

Admittedly I didn't know u very well, but u were by far the coolest kid on the block! (Brookhaven block to be precise!) I can still hear the wheels of your skateboard racing by my house on Peavey Ave. Thank for inspiring me from afar. I know you'll be ripping up a half pipe on the otherwise! Coach Dan was the first teacher we met when Kira started at SSAS. He made us feel so welcome! She was so shy and starting middle school was intimidating. With his big smile and jokes, he made her laugh and made her feel like she belonged. I will never forget that! You made a difference. You will be missed!

I met Dan on several occasions when we lived in FLorida..He was the first great person our son met, and him and our son redid their whole home when him and Alex bought it. I just loved Dan so much..Just wish my husband and I could of spent more time with such a great man. By all the memories posted and articles he was a God send to his family and his community and students. God Bless you

2of my children were blessed to be a student of Coach Dan's Dylan Didion who is now 20 and attending college and Sherman who is 12 and a student of Dan's now. He was such a mentor for them both and this family will surely miss him and his great smile and fun wit. God Bless his young family, his parents and siblings. We will always love you!!!

Not only have you gathered together a loving community, but you have created a fun and creative organization, at its first, and had treated others as your kids, as you taught them many things throughout you organization, but class. Coach Dan, we all miss you.

Dear Coach Dan's family,

I know how hard it is when you lose a loved one such as Coach Dan. Though I do not remember well, my aunt had died in a car accident at the age of 31. The last thing my mother said to her before her car was run over right in front of our house was, "Hurry up & don't be late."

Coach Dan, I don't know if you realized it, but my son, Tyler, had made plans to go with you everyday after school to the skatepark. I told him he could go one day a week if his schoolwork was kept on track. He really looked forward to those days and I know he will miss you so much.
