I didn't know Mr. Hightower personally but wanted to share a message of encouragement. From what I can see in the comments he was deeply cared about and loved by his friends and family. I saw a couple of scriptures in one comment but just wanted to share one more. Take comfort in knowing he's at rest. We look forward to the time when 1 Corinthians 15:26 is fulfilled when the enemy of death will be eliminated. Until that time deep sympathy---Julia

Brenda and I were so saddened to hear of Dan's passing and sorry we could not be at his Memorial. I will miss talking with Dan about any and all subjects as we would do when we would cross paths on my walks. He lived a "big" life. Our thoughts and prayers are with Christine and all of Dan's family.

I never saw Dan without a big smile on his face. When meeting in the neighborhood he was never to busy to stop and talk. He was so easy and fun to be with that a quick chat could turn into 20 minutes before you realized it. His smile, his wave, and his presence will be missed every day. Rest well, friend, although you are probably busy organizing a car race with the angels.

Dan and I have had some great conversations. We also had a great deal in common. Ill miss his quick wit.

Over the last 4 years, Dan and I became very good friends. He reached out to me when things were tough. Dan had kind soul, and a good heart. In our business dealing's, we got to where we talked on the phone almost every day, sometimes two or three times a day. His sense of humor, his honesty, his integrity, was admired the most. This man really cared about his friends and customers. I'm glad to have gotten to know such a good man. My prayers are with Christine and the Hightower family

Christine, Carolyn and I were stunned to read of Dan's passing. Although we didn't know you before we purchased the Jeep, we felt like we were visiting with family. May he rest in peace.
