Man I miss you brother. Still come across things I wish I could call you and tell you about. I feel your presence at times through Mark Daniel and know it’s you sending signs through him to let me know you’re still there. Love getting to tell him stories about you and let him share with his friends who you were. Look forward to the day we meet again.

Dan, Today should have been your 49th Birthday. It’s hard to believe everything you accomplished in your 33 years on this earth! When you returned from Iraq in November 2006, you told me you wanted to do three things:
1. Buy a home. Ck done!
2. Finish your Master’s degree. Ck done! Degree awarded posthumously by Sac State University.
3. Get married. Ck Wedding scheduled for May 24, 2008.

Going to Heaven too soon was never on your list. Ck done.

I’ll love you forever and can hardly wait to feel your warm hugs again.

It is a privilege to learn about Daniel through the many memories and stories shared. I never got to meet him, but I truly have a good picture of him through the memories of his family. He does indeed live in your hearts and will be one of the first people I want to meet when I get to Heaven. ~Russ

Dan .We still miss and love you. When Dan was a young boy he started to learn all about computers. He mother got him an "Z 60" or something. Most of us did not have a clue about computers but Dan knew they were the furure.
Not sure why but Dan for some reason believed I looked or acted like Captain Hawkeye Pierce on that great TV show MASH. That was special for me because I also was a big Hawkeye fan.
Blessing on your birthday, Uncle Pete

Daniel was one of a kind. He was that person even at a young age that he would be the teacher and we were his students. He enjoyed being a Navy Corpsman with the Marines and he received two Navy Achievement awards. He also loved to travel, climb mountains and learn foreign languages. Dan had a motto that he lived by: opus,  mereo, et adfero (work, serve, and contribute). Dan was about to be awarded a master's degree in biology from Cal State. I know he Dan is in heaven with God and he is working, serving and contributing.
I love him dearly and miss him very much. Uncle Pete

We were so blessed to have Daniel in our lives for 33 years. Many people do not know someone as wonderful as our Daniel was. He loved to help others, whether as a Corpsman, nurse, friend, or student. Other service members called him "Doc" or "The Professor". He changed the lives of all he met. We miss him and will love him forever.
