Daniel Lee Caldwell entered this life on February 4, 1949 in Wilmington, North Carolina, and went on to be with the Lord on August 26, 2012 in Dadeville, Alabama.

He was the son of the late Otis Caldwell, and Lillie Mae Vann. Daniel attended public school and graduated from Williston High School in Wilmington, NC. After graduation from High School he worked at several job. In October of 1969 Daniel married his high school sweetheart Ruth Shaw. From this union they had two sons Daniel Jr. and David.

He migrated to Freeport, Long Island New York in 1970, where he worked in the refrigeration industries for several years. He then met with Alice and from that union came Andre. He left Long Island, New York after being there so long many years and went to live in Alabama.

Daniel was employed working at a Law firm in the maintenance department until his health failed him. Daniel loved life and being around people. Although Daniel did not join a church he did believe in God. Daniel overcame many challenges in his life and was at a place of peace and happiness at the time of his death.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Caldwell, his mother, Mrs. Lillie Mae Vann, Step Father Eugene Vann, three sons Daniel Jr., David and Andre, Two sisters Barbara Ford and Michelle Lee, five brothers Robert Lee, Perlie Lee (wife Paulette)., Andre Lee (wife Louise), Cecil Lee (wife Leana), and Eddie Lee, nine grandchildren, Jahvom, Danielle, Daniel, Dante, Khalil #1, Khalil #2, Jazel, Diamond and Lauren , Aunts & Uncle. Daniel will be missed by a host of nieces, nephew and other relatives and dedicated friends.
