Thanks Marti Solis for letting me know about Dan. Lesa and I remained in contact with Dan after the military service thru Christmas cards the first few years but for the last 20 yrs we lost contact. I worked with Dan at military pay. I worked at that same liquor store in the evenings after working day shift in military pay and I think he probably started work at the liquor store on the south side of Cheyenne when I was transferred over to Germany from FE Warren. The picture of Dan and I along with my wife Lesa brought back such fond memories of Dan when we would play cards at our apartment off base near the old hospital in Cheyenne. Yes the ski trips over to Medicine Bow peak near Laramie,Wy were such fun and Bobbi Jurinko (the semi pro ski skier) always had his hands full keeping us vertical and missing the trees. Dan was a great guy. Oh yes I bought Dan's 350 Honda from him when he upgraded in 1979 or 80. Kept it for a few years till I upgraded to a Kawasaki 1000. Ha ha fine minds must have been thinking alike. Lesa and I extend our sincere sympathy to Dan's family and know that Dan is smiling down on us right now just like he was always smiling when he was around all of us.

Worked with Dan about 4 years at F E Warren AFB Cheyenne Wy in Military Pay section. Top notch guy and friend. Hard worker and smart. We also worked together after Air Force at Town and Country Liquor almost full time. We had a good time. He loved life. He would ride that KZ 1000 from Cheyenne all the way to Myrtle Beach SC on vacation. Had a Ford Pinto like mine until he went on a trip somewhere and hit a donkey on the road and totaled it. Super Dude. A pleasure to have known him. Love the pictures. One was from Cheyenne of him Larry Birchfield Harold Bernd

Dan was one of my best friends ever, whom I meet in the Air Force Cheyenne WY. His care free and adventure for life was so awesome. He would just dive into what ever he was doing snow skiing, riding his motorcycle, and being a friend. We had rivalry where he was a Bengals fan me a Steelers fan which was a lot of fun. I loved Dan Turner like a brother. He always had a big smile and distinct laugh like " he-he-he". I could go on and on. He will be missed, but I have so many good memories with him. You made my life so much better knowing you. Thanks you for being my FRIEND!!!!!!!!
