I miss you every day. Especially today on your birthday. I can only be thankful that you are at peace now. I love you so much, Dad.

I was there when they married, actually blessed to be in the wedding and saw what a genuine difference they made in each other's lives from that day forward. Dan's gentle demeanor, calm way of dealing with all that life brought his way, his kindness and creativity were a perfect balance for Syd's fiery, but amazingly loving presence.  Being together allowed them each to become their very best selves, live their most productive and joyful lives, spread the immeasurable love of their united souls to family and friends. This was truly a case of soul mates finding each other on earth. Yes, it can happen. Dan's spirit radiated love and compassion. Dan made me personally feel as though I was his best friend from the very first moment that I met him and continued to make me feel welcome and loved every time I saw them, even if years had gone by in between visits. Such a genuinely good person leaves us better than we were before. We just can't help it. A little bit of Dan's spirit stays behind and long after he is gone, we will all be carrying his large and beautiful heart with us. Thank you, Dan.

I never knew Dan but only through Sydney..But I know she loved him dearly even in the most difficult times..He was a great guy and loved his family and wish I had known him...Dan will be missed by his family and friends..
