Me and 5 other classmates were fortunate to be trained by Parab Sir when we were students of architecture. He gave us our very first jobs and was an excellent teacher. He pushed us out into the world and taught us to be self-reliant, do the very best we can and believe in ourselves through our work. His words to us, "Never trust a dimension you did not take" will forever remain enshrined in my memory. It is rare to find a patient and willing practicing Architect to train and teach mere students valuable lessons in the working world and for this alone, his passing is a big loss to the profession. Thank you, Parab sir. The lessons you imparted in Urban Planning and Design to us are priceless and something each of us use even today.

D.G Parab Sir was a great fellow with profound vision. His guidance and encouragements provided various great achievements in my life and he will remain in my heart forever.

We had common thread of belonging to Sindhudurga district. In 86 we started work on Sindhgudurga DHQ Project.In 88-89 both of us were thinking to leave CIDCO. DG insisted that I stay other wise project will suffer if two persons quit same time. He asked me to continue till project completes.I still recall his great affinity and sincerity for OROS project in our native Sindhudurga District

Today is December 18, Baba's birthday...it would have been his 74th. Remembering you on your special day...

Dattu Kaka - I stayed with Dattu Kaka all thru. my engineering college years. I will always cherish those days when I was with him. He was a great person - with a humble nature and a brilliant mind, good teacher and a noble human being. He was a father figure to me and always supporting in my issues and problems. He was a close friend when I needed someone.....

Datta was one of the few real mentors I've had in my life. I met him over 20 years ago at CIDCO when I was still young and impressionable. He had a profound vision of a world in harmony coupled with a quite "impish" sense of humor that made him always quite reachable. His thinking about urban planning was both ancient and well ahead of its time. My thoughts go out to his whole family.

Loving, Caring, strong headed. Ardent cricket lover. He possessed a sense of humour which many would not match up to. There was a certain calmness about him which used to create a peaceful surrounding around him. I see a lot of him in sameer. Baba, u will always be missed.

I first met Baba at his vashi residence before I married prachi. For a change, I was welcomed by an in-law family member with open heart and no pre-conceived notion about me. We spoke for 2 hours. He made me feel special. I guess he loved his daughter very much. And knew, what a son-in-law means. Pallu must be a proud daughter. Baba had the wisdom which very few possess in this world.

Baba was a wonderful man. He was warm, kind and generous. Baba was passionate about his work, family and an inspiration to all. I will never forget his warm and welcoming smile. ...In my heart, forever you will remain. 

Will surely miss him for his profound thoughts & ahead of his time thinking ...a very warm & loving person ...Thank You for all that you have taught us throughout...and may god bless u..

Baba as he was aptly called was " everyone's baba" and also encouraged everyone including myself to never fear and move forward in life. He never lost his temper even though we brought the house down in vashi during holidays and was always there to get us kids out of trouble. I will miss him lots and cherish them time spent with him. God bless him.

My favorite memory of Baba is of a phone conversation we had one Friday night in May of 2004. Sameer was taking me away for the weekend and I was telling Baba about what we were planning to do. The whole time, he was giggling with great amusement. Only later did I find out it was because he already knew that Sameer was going to propose. I was lucky to be his "daughter."
