Really Marilyn ? "Our" boy???
Have you no shame for 18 years of lying to Tanner and Dave about that one?

Dave...Sunday is the big day and I am getting my gear ready. This is for you. I hope you are proud and smiling nearby as I run through The Avenue of the Giants. I know you'll be there pushing me across the finish line. I love you and miss you.

Miss you Dave. I had dinner the other night at the restaurant where you and I had our last lunch together. I couldn't help but wish it was you sitting there with me. You are loved, missed and thought of daily.

Hey David, I can't believe it is March already. You have been gone for almost two months and the thought of it is unimaginable and the reality unbearable. i wish I could hug you today or at least hear your voice. You have had over 1500 visits to this website. You touched so many peoples lives and we all miss you so much. Too bad there was so little time for you and for each of us with you. Kel, XO

It's not the years we spend on earth, but the love we share while here. A quote from a sympathy card from Karen & Mike Booth, Katie Booth's Mother and Father in law.

Leaving you behind in Utah, this past Friday, was one of the hardest days of my life. We ride on, in spirit, dear Brother. I'll look for you out there on the roads of life.

Hey Dave, I've been thinking about you today, the day of your burial. A part of you will always be with me - your love of life, your enthusiasm, your kindness, your beautiful soul. I will carry you in my heart always. love, Allyson

I didn't know Dave all that well but can tell you he was the toughest guy I ever met. For someone to go through what he did and still have the tenacity and determination to get back on the bike has been a source of awe and inspiration to me.

He is already missed and while I will think of him often I will _always_ think of him as I ride through Hidden Valley. Rest easy, my friend.

i always smile on Friday the 13th because that was the day my brother David was born. David touched so many people's lives, especially mine. He took me trick or treating, played in the park with me, baptized me when I was 8 years old and always was there for me as I grew up and when I was an adult. I can't believe he is gone, I love him dearly and will miss him forever. XOXOXO Kel

It's been just over 13 years since my dad passed away. My dad was a good man, not perfect, but a good man. I don't know that I ever gave him the credit he deserved for all that he did for me. I spent too many years blinded by bitterness caused by events I could not control. The one thing that was in my control was to forgive. I eventually did but far too late. He's been gone a while now. Looking at those pictures brought back many happy memories and reminded me how good he really was. Love you and miss you Dad!

Olancha To Mammoth Bike Trip

January 6, 2015

Thank you to Craig Kahn for posting the youtube video below. It was so much fun to watch! This was a video/photo compilation from a bike ride trip he took back in 2004. It shows my dad healthy, full of life doing what he loved best all while having a good time with his friends and son Cameron. If you loved my dad and have 20 minutes take a look and it will bring a smile to you face!

"The Great MoTown Milkshake Challenge"

Many of you may be unaware of a great moment in the world of Lamorinda sports history which took place at the Lafayette DQ? in the summer of '70 and which involved my pal Dave Gaisford. Dave, no shortage of confidence he, bet me he could drink ten milkshakes in under an hour. He made it to six... we have film of what happened afterward but you don't want to see it, believe me...

Just thinking about stuff

June 28, 2013

I miss you. Been out marking a course for a ride coming up tomorrow. You're large on my mind. I'm not riding in it, but providing SAG, on my motorcycle. We never rode motorcycles together. Damn. I miss not being able to share life with you anymore. I miss hearing "Gaisford, ...it's Gaisford" on my phone.
