David was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He had an older sister, Martha and a twin brother, Don born just two minutes later. David attended Detroit Country Day School in Detroit, Michigan. He was an excellent student, lettered in three different sports and later attended Frank Lloyd Wright architectural school.
He spent several years during the'70s and '80s in Dallas, Texas where he ran a successful furniture business called American Sleep Centers. 
David served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959 and was honorably discharged. He loved his country and was proud to have served.
Dave had four children Jeff, James (Jim)/deceased, Sheryl, Lynn
(stepdaughter), and Jacque. He had six grand-children Anthony, David, Richard, Cody, Daniel (Danny) and Dennis and three great-grand children, Jason, Joey and James.
He was loved and will be greatly missed.
