David's 8th Christmas

December 25, 2021
The Christmas he remembered forever...David didn't believe in Santa anymore, his wish list top present request was for a playstation. Well along came Christmas morning, up at the crack of dawn! In he races to the tree and selects what definitely looks like the dreamed of playstation, I stop him and sadly tell him I couldn't afford a playstation just yet but as soon as I could he would definitely get one, it's a dvd player I tell him as he looks up at me and says that's ok mum I understand. He starts half heartedly taking the paper of only to scream at me "mum, how could you lie to me like that!" I'm like son I wanted you to have a suprise and he's raging at me and I'm like but you got what you wanted and it was a suprise and it does play dvds❤️, he always remembered that Christmas and so will I. Treasure your love ones everyday ❤️
XXX Merry heavenly Christmas son

David’s life, which began 9 months before the 7th of the 7th 1994, after an emergency section, David was a beautiful baby but unfortunately suffered from colic for 12 weeks, he only stopped crying if the hoover went on or he was held over the crook of your arm, unfortunately he developed an allergy to the hoover when he turned 14, as most 14 year olds whether male or female develop this allergy,…. it didn’t worry us, by the age of two he could not only rhyme off 1-10 but he could also identify them all, he knew his right from left and actually guided his Aunty Margaret to his Gran’s house once they reached the area after the country roads ended, as I had always told him what direction we were turning when I was driving David to and from family and friends, his Aunty Margaret just couldn’t believe it! David started charming the ladies at 2 years old when his mum had him in the supermarket and as they reached the till David turned round and said “ I loveee you mum” Well the checkout girl simply melted going all gooey and gushing “ohhhh how sweeeeet” well David being the fast learner that he was loved the reaction and hence every time they got to a check out he would say “mum mum I love you” just to get the awwwwwwws and ahhhhhhhs from the check out ladies! David didn’t cry on his first day at school he loved it! David’s Nana and papa helped to raise and look after David as his mum was working full time, he loved his time with Nana and Papa, one time papa took him and Lindsey next door to soft play, well the kids were to hide and papa would look for them after ten minutes looking for them papa finally found them and there was David sitting on Lindsey’s knee and they were both puckering up for a little kiss he was only 4 and Lyndsey 5! David loved nothing more than visiting the girls at his Aunty Shellys or having them visit us, we enjoyed so many family holidays, his favourite being Fort Ventura where he would sing his heart out to Angels by Robbie Williams. He loved visiting Uncle Nickys to play yugeo with his cousin Nicholas and chess with uncle Nicky he hated losing anything so much but he was up against the best so when he did win the whole street heard him.
By the age of 12 he was a right little charmer as Sarah remembers when he asked her to Primary seven prom and he told her that her ginger hair was beautiful when the sun hit it HaHa Sarah also recalls 6th year English where they would write all over each others jotters and essays, then they tried to whisper and got move away from each other so of course they would text 2 seats away from each other to find out the gossip, then the teacher called him a buffoon. Sarah has so many hilarious memories to write down about her Amazing friend xxxx
David didn’t want to go to university at 17 as he felt he would be to young so he didn’t try too hard in 5th year but worked harder in 6th year to gain his place in Stirling University studying BSC Mathematics/ Professional Education. David was having the ball of his life and was living like a little king due to his successful football coupons, he was treating himself to lots of new T-shirts and skinny jeans, he was feeding himself well and was taken aback when the others asked him what he was doing when he would put an empty plate into the microwave…. “I couldn’t believe it Mum and Malky no one else heats up their plates!!!” He said
He then went on to tell us how his friend Paul used half his bottle of the dear washing up liquid on One bowl he had us in stitches as he had cost us a mini fortune in hot water and washing up liquid for 6 years!!! Now you know how we felt for years, we laughed, he just sounded so like a responsible grown up! ………When David returned to university, he was saying how lonely it was, as most of his friends were still at home, he was delighted when you returned never doubt he loved all of you and that he will love you always.
David lived life to the full and I took him all over the world, he always made friends wherever he went and probably experienced more of life than a lot of us who have lived longer
