There is so much to say about my brother David and the essence of who he was and his life through my eyes as his sister.

There is no question the light of his life and biggest accomplishment in life was his son Jesse Grant. That he truly loved his family unconditionally and would do anything for us. How he assumed the responsibility of raising and caring for his stepdaughters Julie and Rebecca who he remained close to. How it was important for him to live his life his way and on his terms, which he did so almost to the very end.

How proud he was to be a Duron, what that meant to him and how fiercely loyal and caring he was towards his immediate and extended family.

David was definite in his opinions about life and how it should be lived and did not hesitate to share his opinions with others. He was both very loving and then could be equally as harsh when he did not agree with you.

I will miss this enormous and boisterous personality and know he is in a better place with other loved family members. I also know I already miss our almost daily talks and hearing him say "I love you Rose and appreciate you so much and I know how lucky I have been to have you as a sister." I also know he closed his eyes peacefully for the last time and knowing how much he was loved too.
