Dianna Lynn Darnell age 58 passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, in Kettering, Ohio. Dianna was born at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton, Ohio on December 1, 1963, to Alice Jean Leiphart and David Lee Bowers, both of whom precede her in death. Dianna is also preceded in death by her sister Karen Bowers and beloved 9-year-old son, Cory Darnell. Dianna is survived by her son Michael Darnell, grandchildren Kaleigh, Mikey and Brice; her older sister Peggy Bowers, younger siblings David (Kate) Bowers and Lisa Lovins along with many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Dianna enjoyed working as a clerk for the City of Xenia for many years. She also enjoyed working for National Carton and Coating. Dianna had a passion for working on muscle cars, a love for horses and the Cincinnati Bengals, and enjoyed being outdoors. The family will have a Celebration of Life ceremony inside the mausoleum at Woodland Cemetery, 281 Dayton Avenue, Xenia, Ohio on February 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with burial immediately following. Dianna will be laid to rest with her beloved son Cory at Woodland Cemetery. Donations to help the family purchase a headstone in Dianna’s honor can be made to the Dianna Darnell Memorial Fund at Fifth-Third Bank in Xenia.
