Dilmaya Gurung our beloved mother and grandmother left this world on May 23rd, 2021 at the age of 91 years.
Born in 1930, in a small village in Nepal, she grew up in humble beginning and was married to Jit Bir Gurung (deceased). Our beloved "Amma" or "Bajai" to most, was a sweet and loving person always willing to lend a helping hand and spread goodwill. She is survived by her four daughters; Maya Ghale, Santu Maya Ghale, Obi Gurung, Sandhya Gurung and five sons; Deo Bahadur Gurung, Dik Gurung, Shyam Gurung, Samip Gurung and Thakur Gurung. She was the matriarch of the family with many grandkids and great grandkid spread over in Nepal, England, Japan and United States. She will forever live through all our memories.
She believed in and embodied below teaching of great Buddha.
“Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth, so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue.”

Ami: Infinite, limitless light
Dewa: Illuminated Deity of Buddha nature
