Sherry, I thank you so very much for letting me know of Dee's passing and for sending me a copy of her Loving Memory card.
She was a very special lady and was loved by all of us in Tennessee
who had the privilege of knowing her. She had so much talent in many
kinds of art and could see the beauty in everything. My favorite painting of hers was the "The Iris of Many Colors" (my name for it). I have many
keepsakes that she made for Bill and I, and so many pictures she took of Bill are a treasure for me. She loved living in our old Farmhouse and we loved having her there. So glad she had you to go to in the last part of her life.

I will always remember the memories you gave me as I was growing up as teaching me how to independent. You will forever always be in my heart and I will miss you but will never forget you. Love you Mom!

I love you, Mom. I already miss seeing you and talking to you - can't believe you're gone but I know you are in a better place. I will always try to make you proud and remember to live life to the fullest - as you did and always encouraged me to do the same.

Sherry, thank you for sharing the wonderful slideshow of your mom's work! It shows her creative vision and her passion for life! I'm at a loss for sharing what's in my heart! Jealous of the time she spent at Chautauqua in western NY state, loved her prolific and eclectic art, amazed by her brilliance, enamored by her love of hats, and just plain adored her - even when she was cranky! :-) I'm grateful for the lessons in grace that she showed me in her final years. She was a gift and will remain with me forever!
