It doesn't seem like it has been a year since you left this world to go to a better place.  If I didn't truly believe that I was going to see you again this would be so much harder.  The hardest part of you not being here is knowing how much pain Johnie is in.  You were and are his world.  You touched so many lives in such a deep way that sometimes we get lost in the chasm left behind by your passing. I love and miss you and look forward to the day we can chat and ponder others...

This picture was taken at a VIP real estate meeting in May 1990. It was sent to Donna as a postcard in the mail. I loved it from the moment it came in the mail. I was so proud of her. I took it to work and kept it in my tool box ever since. It was torn and scratched after 23 years so I had to photo shop it up so it looks presentable.

I remeber she was having trouble walking this day, she had her cane with her I believe, and she still came out to see me! Love her for that!

In a card my mother gave Donna on her wedding day, she wrote the following:

Donna

My memories of you include "Don't Worry, Be Happy," don't sweat the small stuff, and standing beside me in the emergency room. Your Dad named you Donna – which means lady – and you were a lady since you were two. I hope he can see his little lady today. Thank you for being there for me when I needed you and for all the other wonderful memories.

I love you. Mom

I used to work at United Cable in the late 80's and on our anniversay's I would put up an add as you see above on channel 3 community access. This one was 1988. The first time I did it Donna was really surprised, It made her feel special. It was always the little things we did for each other that made a difference.

Being the person she is, Donna wanted to host her nephew Mathew's 21st birthday. Here she is in this picture with  the poster she made for him with pictures of his life. I had to be 40 to get one of those. She sure loved her Nephew.

I took Donna to Napa and stayed at the Harvest INN on one of our early anniversary's. I then surprised her with a glider ride over the Napa Valley. She was Hesitant at first but then loved it.

It simply takes my breath away. To speak your name and say to others you were my friend, my confidant, my advisor, my teacher.  .  . my little sister.

It simply takes my breath away. To recall bottle feedings, butt cleanings and then you racing down the hall as fast as four-year-olds could go .  .  . games we use to play.

It was day 14 of her first chemo cycle and her hair was falling out.She made the decision to go ahead and cut it all off. This photo was taken at Donna's hair dresser's house. A special thanks to Laurie for helping us out when we needed it.  She still looks beautiful with no hair!

In early December 2011 Mike and Celines invited us to go on a trip with them to St. Helena (their treat). What great family we have. We stayed at the beautiful Harvest Inn. It was two days of great company, great food,shopping,wine tasting, and massages.This photo of Mike, Celines, Donna, and I was taken at Hall winery. It was a beautiful day to sit outside and wine taste. This was the last of 5 winery's we tasted at and Celines and I were feeling pretty good. Mike was the designated driver. When we went to get into the car the guy next to me getting out of his car actually opened the door to Mike's car for me. I was so suprised that I said "Why thank you kind sir". Not sure where that came from but all of us had a great laugh at my comment. GOOD TIMES!!!

In this picture Donna didn't know that I was there till after the picture was taken. She got a kick out of that.

Donna and I loved going to this show when we were on Maui. Made us both laugh like crazy.

When ever we go to Maui we stop off at Snorkel Bob's to rent our snorkel gear on the way to the Hotel.

It was tradition that when we go to Maui, we go downtown Lahaina and take a picture with the Birds.
