Mother and Daughter
Mom shared unconditional love for me. She had a heart that was strengthened by God . It enabled her to love in a way that most people are unable to understand . She walked in forgiveness . I saw this in her life and was blessed by it. She Was my mother, but she was also the best friend I have ever had.

Disney World Space Mountain
A long time ago, when I was about 10 or 11 years old, we went on a family vacation to Disney World in Florida. It was a grand time and after listening to "It's a Small World" over and over on one ride, my brother Jamal and I were excited about going on the "Space Mountain" coaster ride. As we waited in the long, long line my Mom kept reading the warning signs posted about the ride. She kept saying how she hated roller coasters and this was not a good idea. My Dad kept trying to assure her that it was not going to be as bad as she thought, but it did not help. Finally it was out turn to get on the ride, and Mom and I were going to sit togehter and Dad and Mal were going to ride together. Just when I was about to sit down, I turned to see my mother fleeing towards the exit. All you could see was her purse flapping behind her as she ran for her life. I was devasted...but it was too funny to be upset...
We have teased her and laughed about this for years. She never abandoned me again, but we never tried to make her ride a coaster again!
