Grandma a name she said I gave to her. Before she passed  I told her to please get well because I needed her. I needed her love, her counsel, her prayers, I needed her assurance and smile, I needed her to see her great grand children grow and to teach them how to love.
She was wonderful, She was Godly, beautiful, patient, kind, tolerant (she was kind to all irrespective of spiritual financial or academic status or age )she knew how to embrace people and make them feel loved. She was sweet, warm, peace loving - She was deliberate in not being petty, she was deliberate in how she lived her life, she made personal problems look trivial, extremely generous but prudent, pleasant but took no nonsense , she disciplined in a way you just had to do better, she was strong and easy to cry all at the same time. she was not judgemental. She was a friend to the most unlikely people, she loved looking good but was not vain, she taught me psalms by heart even before I could read.  No matter how hard I smiled she was one to ask me what's wrong with you because she knew me well
In her last moments she had no regrets, she said she was joyful, she told us she loved us, she said she would pray for us, she said thanks, she appreciated God  because with all she had experienced in life she didn't imagine she would live this long.
I honor her, I celebrate her, she was a phenomenal woman, a lady, daughter, wife, mother, grand mother, great grand mother, friend, a leader, a source of help, a source of joy she was special she was victorious by the grace of God, she was Doris Rose Elizabeth Labor nee Tregson-Robert all in Golden letters.
I will miss you greatly, we all will.
Rest in God's perfect peace.
