Doris Weldon Landreth, of Lanett, Alabama, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Phenix City Health Care. Mrs. Landreth was born Monday, June 15, 1914 in Chambers County, Alabama, to the late Benjamin and Kate Blackstone Weldon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years Vester Landreth; brother James Holley Weldon; sister-in-law Norma Weldon; and beloved niece Brenda Weldon Sorrell.

Mrs. Landreth was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Lanett having joined in 1934. She loved her church and her church family. She was retired from West Point Pepperell with 49 ½ years of service. 

Mrs. Landreth is survived by special nieces Jean (Raymond) Henry of Lanett and Pat (Mark) Keller of Hawkinsville, GA; nephew Hugh Sorrell of Midland, GA; great-nephews Ben (Shannon) Sorrell of Midland, GA and John (Lindy) Sorrell of Montgomery; and great-great nieces Mallory, Mary Wallace, and Emmy Sorrell and great-great nephew Weldon Sorrell.
