His Life

PEERS, Dustin Arrigo "Dusty", July 17, 1994 - July 31, 2012

September 20, 2012

Dustin, beloved and treasured son of Laura and Dana, brother of Cody, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the age of 18 years.

Dustin was born in Calgary and recently graduated from Central Memorial High School. He was an exceptionally gifted artist in all media, winning many awards. Dustin also was a natural athlete who excelled in many sports, but especially enjoyed his role as a linebacker on the Central Rams.

His sincere and open nature enabled him to relate to all kinds of people on all kinds of topics, putting them instantly at ease. Dustin shared his joy for life with the community in many ways, including his annual volunteer work as a mascot for the Stampede Downtown Attractions Committee. His contributions to the Lacombe arts community were many and varied.

Dustin joyfully and whole-heartedly embraced new experiences, forging new bonds with relatives and friends through his travels to Europe, the United States, Canada, Iceland, and annual family visits to Mexico.

He was a loyal, thoughtful, and caring friend. Dustin will be forever cherished and remembered for his kind and generous heart, his 1000-watt smile and his quick and infectious sense of humour. He greeted everyone with a hug, and sent them on their way feeling special and accepted.

He embraced the world, and the world embraced him.

Dustin is survived by his parents Laura and Dana, big brother Cody, grandparents Betty and Al Peers, "Nonna" Lidia Fabbro, aunts and uncles, Lawrence and Gayle Fabbro, Rick and Jennifer Peers, Sandra Fabbro, cousin Olivia, family members in Alberta, Sault Ste. Marie and Italy. He leaves many friends and classmates.

He graced this earth much, much too briefly, but oh he shone so bright.
