Earnest Scott, Jr., the son of the late Earnest (Sr.) and Willie Rose “Noon” Scott, was born October 21, 1937 in Chambers County, AL. He departed this life, peacefully, on May 17, 2017at his residence in Lanett, AL.

Earnest accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Goodsell United Methodist Church, Lanett, AL. His involvements with the church were member of the United Methodist Men and the Men’s Choir.

Bubba”, as he was known to many was a 1956 graduate of Lanier High School. He was employed by Weyman A. Darden & Sons Trucking and later by West Point Stevens until his retirement.

He married Fannie Will Pearson in May, 1959 and to this union five children were born.

Earnest was preceded in death by a daughter, Allison Scott; son, Terence B. Scott and a brother, Robert Lee “Sonny” Scott.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devote wife of 58 years, Fannie W. Scott, Lanett, AL; daughters, Rose Marie Leonard, Cartesville, GA, Tangie Williams, Lanett; AL; son, Weyman(Telandra) J. Scott, Lanett, AL, Earnest(Valerie) Scott, III, LaFayette, AL; sister-in-law, Hazel Scott and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
