Dad, you have been my Parent my whole life. Most of all you became my teacher, and minister over the past few years. Now that you are gone, I will continue the lessons you have taught me. I was blessed to have you in my life.

PaPa ED, you have always been my biggest supporter; you had my back when no one did. Losing you hurt, but I understand that the lord has to have his way. I will miss you, but I won't grieve too long because I know that our loss is the Lord's gain.

Dear Papa Ed,

August 7, 2021, was the first time I saw you, Papa Ed, after two years of Covid-19. November 25, 2021, was the last time I spoke to you and heard your voice, also the last time I told you, “I love you, papa Ed”

The last time we were together you were full of laugher, jokes and had some great dance moves. It was as you felt no pain that day.

Though I’ve been confused with everything that’s transpired, I know someday I will understand. You are now resting with Aunt Ciera, your siblings, and both of your parents. I will always love you, Papa Ed!

Papa Ed, I have known you for over 3 years now and within that time I have watched
my dad treat you the way that a son should treat his father.
Thank you for being a role model, coach, and mentor to our family.
