When we met Eloise Lewis, she was just the mother of my new neighbor and soon to be best friend. It didn't take long to discover that Mrs. Lewis was anything but "just" anything. Her warmth and easygoing personality made her easy to get to know and to love. Mrs Lewis became and remained a part of our family until she was taken to be with her Lord. Her strength through the sickness and loss of her husband, the many years alone after his passing, her bout with cancer, then its return, and all other health challenges she faced was unbelievable! She held her head high, faced each day with a positive attitude, and was the one to encourage and support her family and friends, rather than seek that from them. My memories of Mrs. Lewis will only be happy ones because that is what she always shared, happiness. She will live on in the hearts those who knew and loved her. and in you Sylvia and Faye! You were blessed with a very special mother! Thank you for sharing her with us. We loved her very much and when I picture her in my mind, she has that beautiful smile, as always!
