Ed hired me shortly out of college 30 years ago; he was one of my first mentors. Thankfully, I kept in touch with him, even after we both moved on from Compaq. He was a wonderful person--open, affable, energetic, and so, so smart. I'll miss his advice, but I'll miss his kind-hearted laugh even more. He was a special person, an incredible visionary, and a true friend. I'm sure he's building some sort of super-computer in heaven right now. I'll miss you, boss.

It is with a heavy heart when I learned that Ed had passed away. He was one of the brilliant minds in the venture community and will be greatly missed. I worked with Ed for many years and always found him to a man of true integrity.
He was, as people in my faith say, a Mensch!
My thoughts go out to his wife and his beautiful children.

Ed, everyone on the Neurable Team will greatly miss you. You are one of the key individuals who believed in us and provided us with mentorship, and we will forever be grateful for that gift.

I am sure the other entrepreneurs who had the honor of working with you feel the same way. You changed lives and gave life to dreamers, and your legacy will live on.

The world needs more people like Ed. It's a little dimmer today because we've lost such a bright light—a brilliant, kind, and giving person.

From the deepest parts of our hearts, we will miss you, and we bid you a peaceful journey.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Ed's passing. He will be missed by many. He and I had made several investments in startups together. He was always true, straightforward, supportive and wise.

What can I say. Ed was a wonderful friend over the decades. He always had a great sense of humor--he loved to remind me that he will always be younger than me -- and a wonderful laugh. Not to be forgotten was his never ending need speed! He is deeply missed but I know, as always, he is having a wonderful time in this his next adventure.
