Pastor Eghes,

Yours was a short, yet greatly impactful life, both as a believer in Christ and a Martekplace Apostle.

Thank you for living by example;
Thank you for your broad heart;
Thank you for your painstaking efforts to effect change wherever you were;
Thank you for beaming the light, such that even in death, the underlying message of your life showed forth.

You left a legacy to be proud of,
Although the prints are too big to step into.

We're confident you're with the Lord Jesus, whom you served diligently all your life, and we shall see you again on that great resurrection morning.

Keep resting, Sir.

Five things I remember about you, Eghes. You loved God, you loved your wife, you loved your son and you were a person of integrity - to the end.
You had a dream to bring change to Nigeria's corrupt polity, but..
Keep singing with the Angels till we meet again.

'There is soap, there is water, I can't just understand why people will still not wash their hands...' One of Eghes profound statements and now very relevant globally as a weapon for combating the current pandemic of Covid - 19.
He will always be remembered for his exemplary legacy. Rest on....

The news of your passing on to glory has left me in perpetual shock and deep thoughts.
Pastor Egheomhanre Eyieyien, was a great apostle in the market place, a teacher, a prophet, an astute economist, and an epitome of humility and simplicity.
A man who was filled with God's Holy Spirit, even unto the last moment.
I have no doubt you finished strong and well too. Your last Facebook post testifies eloquently to this submission.
What a man you were!
What a life you lived!!
What a huge gap you left behind!!!
I'm consoled that you had peace with Christ and you'd reign with Him forever.
Farewell, my greatest inspiration!

My dear brother and friend Eghes. I miss you greatly. I was looking forward to seeing you when I visit Nigeria. You were a friend indeed, one who was so passionate about our faith in Christ. I really cherished my friendship with you right from school days in Uniben and how we kept in touch even thereafter. No doubt you in the bosom of Jesus but down here you are greatly missed. You have left behind an impressive legacy.....

Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cant still believe my eyes abi am I dreaming?
just going through my page when I saw this saddening and unbelievable post of a great icon and intelligent, analytical, schooler,of the word of God who was very interesting and celebrating to the point that he can make someone who is hopeless see the good reason why such a person should have hope in God. Ha!! oh death where is thy sting now? only one thing am sure that God knows the reason why this has happened. My beloved sister Awesiri you are in good hands of the lord, for he will keep you right there in his arm, keep looking unto Jesus as he is there always. May the lord give you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. IT IS WELL.

Sleep soft, man of God, i still can't get my head round it, it feels unreal, i have felt numb, shocked, stupefied, angry, try to explain it without success. One thing is sure, the Lord knows better and i thank Him for the opportunity to have shared your life as a true dependable friend, and that He preserved your life, did not allow you to go before your parent. i miss you already, but your smiles and your labour of love remains. bye !

My brother and friend Eghes Eyieyen will surely be missed for his forthrightness and highly principled life. He was very straight and fearless in taking a stance. I first met him when he came to see my first professional mentor in the person of Sir Victor Ake Odozi who was also his mentor. Thereafter I had to develop friendship with him to the point that he was among the few professional friends that I shared my plan for marriage with. Although we had to disagree on some issues on the Christian faith, we were not disagreeable. May the Lord be with and comfort and his wife, son, friends and loved ones.

He was my best friend in St. Patrick's Primary School and one of the most intelligent and gentle people I have been privileged to meet in my entire life. Goodbye, my friend. You were one of the last of the Mohicans.

Your passing was a shock to us. We spoke two days before your departure and you were still the essential Eghes. The last time we saw, was a week earlier at Uromi. There was no good bye as there was no hint that you will join the saints within days. Eghes, we take solace that you are in a better place with no pain or sorrow. You will be surely missed. Rest on my brother and friend.

Hmmmm...Fading away like the stars of the morning....only to be remembered by what we have done. You are surely in our hearts and we surely miss your absence on this side of Jordan river. We rest in the consolation that we shall all meet to part no more in the resurrection morning. Eghes, do continue to Rest in the bosom of the ONE who loved you so much that you loved dearly back . Adieu ! !! !!!
