Well, it's been a while, but Elaine left an indelible mark on my heart.
Wherever you are, Miss Elaine: the void you left is an impact on my life and a reminder .... "you don't only live once, you live each day every day... you only LEAVE once." Miss you, YRH! :*)

Here's to the life of Elaine Lee. I will never forget you for so many reason. You were so funny and kind and would always take the time to listen and help when needed. I remember the days when you and Chris K would be life of the party back in the day. Rest well my friend rest well.

I worked with Elaine and Paul Grossman over 30 years ago on the first edition of Employment Discrimination Law. In addition to being so competent, the fun she had tickled me. I loved hearing about the fun she had in Las Vegas and the pleasure she got out of all aspects of her life. A loss for us all.

How fondly I remember Elaine. Her ever present smile and good nature. From my days almost 40 years ago at then small firm of PHJ&W, when she would jokingly and affectionately call me "Little Davey Steuber"!! Now, no longer so young, my memories of Elaine remain so positive. They will never fade and will temain at the highest level of respect and love.

Elaine: When I would come to 18 I would say "Hello Elaine" in a voice reminiscent of the way characters on the show Seinfeld would greet "Elaine Benes." I will truly miss your "Hi Dennis" reply. You are the only person I knew who had more connections in Vegas than me. That is indeed a great accomplishement, in addition to all the lives you touched permanently. Love, Dennis

Elaine lived life with natural grace and uncommon generosity. As much as she enjoyed her PH family, she always looked forward to her next trip to Vegas. She gave my hand such a strong squeeze I was sure she was on the mend, but she must have heard the bells and seen the lights in the TI Casino in Las Vegas. I know she is there in spirit, having a blast. Aloha, Elaine. Love, Sally

Elaine was one of the most unique and lovable people I've ever encountered in life. I would love seeing her name come up on my phone every day even for the most simple assistance. I got a great joy out of helping her with her unique word document issues ... and they were usually very unique. Her leaving us was a shock that I'm not sure I will ever get over. God bless you Elaine.

Leaving a law firm partnership to compete in the practice is great way to separate your friends from your business acquaintences. Elaine remained a dear friend after I departed Paul Hastings 9 1/2 years ago, despite her being a PHJW loyalist to the core. She personified friendly top level competence. All of us privileged to have known Elaine share in her loss and will miss her the rest of.

Elaine: You were the bright center of our floor with everyone stopping by to share some news and pick up a sweet. You were always interested in how Elizabeth was doing and genuinely cared about us all. Your generosity and dedication to the firm was an inspiration. We miss you!  Fondly, Jan

Elaine, you were a wonderful person who always made my day so much brighter by talking with me and offering your support and advice with respect to just about any subject. I relished our talks about Vegas, the TI, and video poker. When I was a summer associate you reserved me a free room in Vegas with your comps. No one else would have done this, and I will never forget it. RIP, Marc.

Elaine was very helpful to me as a new associate with Paul Hastings in 1976. Her office was the gateway not only to Paul Grossman's but also to Lee Paul's, Jean Carson's and Margie Cavanaugh's. Always discreet, she coached me on the best approach to the powers that be. Thank you for all you did to help me succeed, Elaine; I will always be grateful to you. Nancy

Elaine, when I first started as a floater at Paul Hastings LA one of my first assignments was at the desk next to you. What a lucky event that was for me! You got me to laugh no matter what was going on. Always ready with a smile and a hug -- you were a joy to know. All of us at PH were lucky to have been in your orbit. You were a gem and will be missed terribly. Love, Patricia xo

I enjoyed the opportunity to work with Elaine and there are so many things that I'll remember. I would infrequently stop by her desk for a brief chat and a sweet treat. She would always get a kick out of me saying, "Elaine, it's been far too long since we last saw one another." I enjoyed her laugh, her wisdom and that she was always 100% true and honest. May she rest in peace. -Christy
