I can't believe a year has passed since Bert died. He was such a good friend both to me and my husband. We can never forget him and know he is with Mrs Norma once more

Elizabeth and Monique,
Remembering your dad fondly as my neighbor on Tutty Loop...he'd be all dressed up in a crisp white shirt & dress slacks coming from his office. I would be walking my two Beardies and we'd chat and banter back and forth. We'd kid about that cold Scotch over the rocks that I was going to enjoy...
Missed him when he moved, but always hoped he was doing well.
May he rest in peace and I'll see him again in those Heavenly realms.

Elizabeth and Dean, I remember Bert fondly as he visited our office on many occasions. He was a good story teller but always told the story exactly the same way. He was an educated man and always nice to hear his stories.  He even brought the picture of his grandmother so I could see his grandmother, the "midwife". I will always remember him,  I was so glad you posted his death in the paper because I would always as Mr. Jim Hebert about him but had seen Jim in a while. Thank you for letting us know about him .  I will never forget him

I will never forget such a special man. He was friend and boss, a true competitor, and he taught me many lessons in life. He always showed me the picture of his grandmother on a horse and would pick at me, and say," she was a "real Indian." I enjoyed trips with Mr. Bert and Miss Norma and how Miss Norma would say, "oh, Bert."
WE were in Houston for a big convention in Houston years ago, but they could not find my reservation. Bert says to the man behind the desk, " reservation? this man is an Indian I expect him to have a reservation." The man says, " Yes, sir, yes sir." WE worked hard and had great times. He told me a lot of stories about perseverance HE WENT THROUGH HIS LIFE, it blessed my life.
