We cannot forget the days and nights spent with you in Hope Waddell, Ete. The wafting odour of enrinmore as you 'march' past the dormitory to a destination. Always on the lookout to put us in the straight and narrow. Today, we see your results. Thank you sir. Sleep in peace, Ete Aye

Ette Aye was just an enigma. I have searched and have not found a man with his distinguishing attributes. His tutorship sticks with his students and I wonder; from where will another Aye emerge. Adios Ette Aye. Sleep peacefully in the bosom of our Lord.

My memories of Elder E.U. Aye goes back to my first day in HWTI as a first year student in 1985. His commitment to the students of that great institution amazed me as a 12 year old. He truly was a visionary leader, someone who believed that our future as a society depended on how well we educate our children who will become tomorrow's leaders. May Papa Aye's soul RIP.

I will never forget the roles you played in molding me in my secondary school days. The self confidence I exhibit today originated from your selfless efforts to ensure that I do things rightly and responsibly too. You taught me to always brave on and not to fret when faced with a challenge. Adieu my Mentor, Adieu the good teacher.

Dear Father of a thousand sons, you are not gone. Your time as our Principal was your legacy and our inheritance. We are mostly what we are today because of you and as long as we live and the values you espoused lives, you will never die. Emem Abasi Odu ye afo.
