This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Elena Chua, 87 years old, born on March 25, 1929, and passed away on January 31, 2017. We will remember her forever.

Happy Birthday, Mom. Visited you yesterday in Ferncliff. Wanted to show you your new granddaughter’s in-law, Pailin (Melissa) and Claire. Dad and you must be enjoying your life in Shangrila.

Hi Mom. We miss you dearly. I remember you taught me to write in cursive. Your handwriting was impeccable. I wish you were here to see your grandchildren Alan and Albert married. We went home to the Philippines to see your parents’ graves. They were moved to a Chinese cemetery in Bacolod by your brother. Bless us from heaven.

Elena Coo Chua, 高寳真, was born on March 25,1929 to Valentina Lokotin and Juan Coo in Iloilo City. She studied grade school and high school in Iloilo. She married Streamson Chua in Iloilo on June 4,1949. They moved to Manila as Streamson got accepted to Manila Central University Medical School. She studied in Centro Escolar University and became a pharmacist. She had 4 children. Alvin, Cynthia, Streamson Jr., and Eugene. 
They moved to Canada in 1965 and moved to US in 1966. She helped her husband who became a psychiatrist for over 40 years in Kingston, New York. They retired to Flushing Queens in 2010. She was a loving Mother to her children. She passed away in January 31, 2017 at the age of 86 in West Brookfield, Massachusetts.
