Even though you are no longer here physically, I feel your presence everywhere. I think of you when I enjoy a perfect cup of tea, when I water the ficus tree on my front porch, when I prune the fragrant herbs and flowers in my garden, when I share Happy Hour with friends. Thank you for showing me how to appreciate the simple joys of life.

Liz, that garden of yours was legendary. The good Lord must not have been pleased with his Spring flowers and he needed help in His garden; that was His reason for calling you up this Spring. Pat and I and Kim and Kristi send our sympathy and prayers to John, Doris, Alex, and Bob.

In the long history of downtown San Luis Obispo, there have been five businesses that occupied a very special place in peoples' hearts: Austin's Palace of Sweets, Green Dragon, Sno-White Creamery, Chong's candy store, and Liz Geisen's Koffee Klatsch. Rest in Peace, Liz, and thank you for many hours of warmth and comfort and some outstanding coffee.

I am saddened by the news of Liz's passing. I met Liz in Heidelberg, Germany. I succeeded Bill Mentzer (whose tribute and story is on this site) at the Applied Physics Laboratory European Field Office. Liz supported me at that office for my full tenure of four years. Her efficiency, dedication, and friendship will always be remembered. My thoughts are with her family.

My heart is so heavy from the loss of my dear friend, Liz. Liz was an exceptional person whom I admired greatly. She was kind, generous, and thoughtful. She had grace and style, and was very intelligent. Liz taught me so much about many things: business, politics, history..... She always made me feel welcome and part of the family. How blessed I was to have known her and been her friend.

I was surprised and saddened by the loss of Liz. I can only think of her bustling around, with her usual energy and ready smile. I feel fortunate to have known her and to have found her wonderful Klatsch, an oasis of excellent coffee which reflected her discernment of life's finer things. Thoughts & prayers for John, Doris and Alex in this difficult time

I only knew Liz from the phone when she would place her coffee orders every monday. In time we became friends chatting up the latest adventures of being in business. But the biggest impression made was her sincere note of comfort I read at the funeral after my dad passed and how she expressed to the family how she had lost her best friend in the world. That meant something that day!

We will always treasure the memory of our dear friend Liz. May the love and caring of friends and family bring comfort to John, Doris, Alex and Bob.

Liz and my husband Rene Jennett were close friends and business associates. I also knew Liz and enjoyed her honesty and compassion.
Yes, she will be missed as Rene has been missed from his family. May the comfort of God be with her loving family.

This loss leaves such a hole in my heart! Liz was so cool, so smart, and so much fun. I worked at the Klatsch, but in no time flat, I was a part of her amazing family. I will never forget the love and kindness she showed me. May she rest in peace!

Liz was one of the first people when we moved into Avila. I love coffee and The Koffee Klatch became my hang out place. This meant many years of conversations, going to dinners, parties and other events. We became regulars at each others house. At timesj, Liz needed a break and if Beulah or around, we took over the store. But best of all we were great friends. That is a treasure.

Gran, I will miss playing Russian Bank with you. Planting carrots, corn and strawberries in the garden. I will miss your pankcakes and french toast on Saturday mornings. I loved when you read from the Big Fairytale Book to me and you always loved my baking, even when I added not enough sugar or too much baking soda. I will miss you sooo much, Love Alex.

We were so sad to hear the news this morning. Liz was a beautiful person--in all senses of the word. She was kind, warm, smart and caring, and so much fun to be around, and she was also so elegant and pretty. We always enjoyed seeing her when we visited San Luis Obispo, and we will miss her dearly.
