The year after her retirement, she stayed at home for about three months before she felt the urge to go back to work again..part-time, on her own terms. Her goal was to earn extra money for her next big trip, the cruise to Australia and New Zealand in the fall. But after a bad winter cold, cough that she could not shake, and several trips to the doctors, she eventually learned of her disease. Her doctor's were amazed at her response to treatment. So rejuvenated and her disease in remission, she planned a summer vacation with her daughter, Jennifer and family. They drove across country to visit extended family and friends on the East Coast.
