Mrs  Elsie Olayinka Anga was born in Lagos, Nigeria in Septmber 1932 to a Chemist dispenser father Pa John Julius Ibikunle  of the ruling Adeyemi House of Oyo Kingdom and the Williams family of Lagos.

Her mother, mama Campbell Josephine was the daughter of Johana Samuel and Ezibio de Souza originally from Quidah  Dahomey (Republic of Benin) .
