My dear Emelinda,
I have been away for so long, and was grief-stricken to learn of your passing.
Yours was a light that shone so brightly in this world, that it shall never be extinguished. Whatever heaven you now call home, I know you are among the thousands of dogs, cats, and owners gone before you, whose lives you touched. And oh, there will be more. You were more than a friend, and more than a savior of animals in need: You were, and forever will be, the personification of seflessness, compassion, fearlessness, caring, and perseverance.
You may not have any statues erected in your honor, schools named after you, or a festival held in your rememberance, but, to me, you have something more real. Something that you truly earned. You have become a symbol of what it truly means to fight back against the wrongdoings, inequalities, and injustices we face in this world, and because of you, I, and so many others with lives touched by your goodness, will forever strive to be worthy of the love, patience, and friendship you so freely gave us.
Now, my dear friend, you are forever: Earth's Angel.
Rest In Peace, and know you are loved.
