As a mom I know teenagers don't always look forward to spending time with younger kids.  I know they can be demanding and annoying.  But Eric was an exceptional cousin.  Whether it was "breaking into" the park and then playing for a long time, entertaining them while we worked, or just playing with all the kids during Emily's grad party Eric had a smile and patient spirit.  He willingly played and shared.

I love that Eric wanted to give me one of his ninja toys.  When we were leaving he gave me a ninja sai and I still have it and use it to defeat the bad guys.  Eric was always ready to play and include me.

My favorite memory with Eric was when I got to watch him play his video games.  He let me pretend play with him.  He had fun video games and he explained what he was doing.  I also loved going to the park with him.  He helped me climb the fence to get in.  I thought we were going to get in so much trouble but we had so much fun!

Daniel

I loved playing Nerf and having Nerf wars with Eric.  When we were are the school park, Eric and I were on a team together against Elijah and Daniel.  It was so much fun.  It was so awesome of him to share his Nerf arsenal with us and play with us even though he is a teenager and most teenagers wouldn't do that.

When we visited in the summer 2017, Eric shared his knowledge of dimensional theory and string theory.  During Emily's grad party we were sitting in the youth room.  Snacking on rock candy, just casually hanging out.  Out of the blue Eric shared about these scientific theories.  They were so complicated and in depth.  I love that memory because it showed me how smart Eric is and a part of his life.
