I HAVE A FOND MEMORY OF ERIC SR AND I WOULD GO VISIT HIS THEN GIRL FRIEND/FUTURE WIFE DONNA MARIE GARCIA ORTIZ WHO AT THE TIME WAS LIVING IN QUEENS VILLAGE NY WE WALKED FROM MY HOME IN BAYSIDE NY TO HER HOUSE I ENJOYED SPENDING THAT QUALITY TIME WITH HIM 

This was little Eric's 1st football uniform...at least that is what we told him (it really was a halloween costume) but he loved it and we got a big laugh.  Later he really loved it playing all the way through high school at Christ the King.  I remember Eric Sr. coming to all the games and being a typical proud dad.  

Each summer, Eric Jr. would go to Florida to visit grandma a few weeks.  Eric Sr. couldn't wait for him to return.  This particular year he made me change Eric Jr.s flight to come in and this is a photo of him picking him up at Islip.  He was so happy to see his dad there.  Eric was a great father.
