David, we miss you and need your humor right now but glad you and Dad were there to greet Mom on July 25 this year. 3 of us gone and 4 of us left. Until we meet again.

Warms my heart to know that you and Dad came to get Mom July 25, 2023! Know there was a big party in Heaven that day. Mom wanted to explore the galaxies... I bet you are off adventuring with her and Dad. The void in our lives since you passed remains. You remain my one and only beloved brother. xxx0000

It’s a beautiful day here in Minneapolis on the 3rd anniversary of your death. We toasted you (and Dad) at Moms’s 95th bday celebration at the end of July. Celebrations just aren’t the same without you, beloved brother. We miss your funny quips and gentle nature. Love you forever.

Been thinking about you all week, sweet bro. Your presence in our lives was a blessing that becomes more dear and precious since you passed. I only had one brother and his name is David. Beloved.

Here's your tribute sweet brother David: I miss you like crazy. As I was going through the photos looking for pics to post here, I can't believe I didn't take more photos to remember you by....and no videos either. I have never known life without my older brother.... who is gong to tease me with just the right quip? Who is going to correct my Joanie boo boos? Who is going to sing "Joanie of the Jungle" to me? Who is going to chime in every conversation with his unassuming casual knowledge of just about every subject? I can't believe you are gone. We are all heart broken. Love you to the moon and back, brother..... yer lil' sis Joan

David and I never met face to face which was my loss. We had many internet discussion of US history and I certainly counted him as a wise, witty, good natured friend. He will be missed!
My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Like Tom and Mac, I met David on a history web site.
I learned of his passing as the sun was about to set last night, here in Colorado , and was filled with sorrow. This morning the sun rose bright and clear, and my thoughts of David changed remarkably in realizing that with the rising sun he remains with us, as long as our memory of his unquestioned integrity, and undaunted courage in facing life are with us. He was an example to all of us, who come from all parts of this world. His reach was long, his influence wide. His council was sought, his opinions were measured and sound. He now sits at the right hand, reducing the hills, and making straight the pathways for all of us to follow.

I met David only once face to face, for breakfast, in June 2017, We contacted on a history board where he made many friends. I had a colon cancer last August and David stood by me in my time of need even though he was fighting his own fight. I will never forget him or that.
The Staveley family is very blessed to have had such a wonderful son, husband, father, and grandfather.
I will miss you brother.
