Estill Holland was born on March 18, 1900, in Hazard, Kentucky, his father, Fleming, was 23 and his mother, Ellen, was 17. He married Ollie Turner on November 26, 1924. They had three children: Imogene, Pauline and Raymond, during their marriage. He passed away on February 26, 1993, in Hamilton, Ohio, at the age of 92, and was laid to rest in Newtonsville, Ohio.
