To the family and friends of SFC McLendon: My heart goes out to you in your great loss. I hope you find peace.
Many people turn to the Bible when they lose someone they love. Scriptures such as Psalm 37:10,11; Isaiah 67:17; and Jesus words in John 5:28 and 29 where he promises a resurrection from death have been helpful. One very good one is Revelation 21:3,4 which says, “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ‘Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’”
Can you even imagine a world where death, pain, mourning don't exist? What a place for SFC McLendon to be brought back to.
